
GKS PRIME FLEX CR is available in both cemented and cementless version.
In the cemented version the surface in contact with the bone of the femoral and tibial components has depressions for an even distribution of the cement mantle and an optimal distribution of the loads, giving stability to the implant.
In the cementless version, the surface in contact with the bone with HaX-Pore® coating (300μm pure titanium + 50μm Hydroxyapatite plasma sprayed) allows for good primary stability and and encourage osteoblasts growth for biological integration.

Femoral component
The femoral component is common for both mobile and fix bearing options of the GKS PRIME FLEX System.
Its design was studied to optimize prosthetic the prosthesis behaviour during flexion: the posterior condyles thickness and the curvature radius allows a wide contact area even at high flexion degrees.
It is available in 9 sizes, in cemented and cementless HaX-Pore® coated version, both also with BIOLOY® TiNbN surface coating.

CR and AS articular inserts
The articular insert is available in 5 sizes (each size matching with 2 sizes of Tibia) and in 9 thicknesses for each size. It refers to the tibial component and comes in two types:
The CR option is designed to ensure optimal behaviour when the PCL functions are preserved.
The AS (Anterior Stabilized) option is anatomically shaped with a high medial anterior lip that inhibits posterior slipping of the tibia when the PCL functions are compromised.
A colour code facilitates the correct coupling between tibial plate and insert.

Tibial component
The TOP Tibial Component is available in cemented and cementless HaX-Pore® coated version.
It is characterized by a baseplate with a conical central body and delta displaced lateral wings.
It comes in 10 sizes divided into 5 colour coded groups, each one fitting with 1 insert size, and it is compatible with the GKS PRIME FLEX PS option.

Femoral components: CoCr alloy ISO5832/4.
Articular insert: UHMWPE ISO5834/1/2 available also in VITAL-E® version (UHMWPE added with antioxidizing Vitamin E).
Tibial component: Titanium Aluminium Vanadium alloy ISO5832/3.
