Position

The successful candidate will join the R&D Shoulder & Extremities team and will be responsible for the design and development of implantable medical devices and related instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities

• CAD Design: Advanced 3D modelling of components and complex surfaces.
• Technical Drawings: Creation and revision of 2D drawings and related tolerances.
• FEM Analysis: Finite Element Method simulations for the mechanical validation of medical devices.
• Regulatory Documentation: Preparation of Technical Files and Risk Analyses in compliance with EU MDR 2017/745 requirements.
• Quality Standards: Application of relevant international ISO/ASTM standards applicable to the medical device industry.

Skills & Requirements

• Education: Degree in Biomedical Engineering (Mechanical specialization), Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplines.
• CAD Skills: Excellent knowledge of leading 3D modelling software; experience with Siemens NX is considered a strong advantage.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of technical drawing, surface modelling, and FEM analysis.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of the European Medical Device Regulation (EU MDR 2017/745) and applicable ISO/ASTM standards.
• Soft Skills: Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams, strong attention to detail, and innovation-oriented mindset.

Compensation
Salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience (Annual Gross Salary: €25,000–€35,000).

Work Location

Merate (LC), Full Time Monday-Friday.
