Order Fulfillment & Production Planning Coordinator

Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring effective coordination between the Sales, Production, Purchasing, and Warehouse departments by continuously monitoring the order portfolio, setting operational priorities, and providing accurate delivery dates. The role aims to reduce order backlog (BO), improve customer service levels, and support the company’s growth.

The main activities are:

  • Manage and monitor the customer order portfolio, identifying potential issues and delays.
  • Coordinate the flow of information between Sales, Production, Purchasing, Quality, and Logistics.
  • Define and update production priorities in collaboration with department managers.
  • Verify order feasibility based on production capacity, material availability, and lead times.
  • Monitor production progress and work orders on a daily basis.
  • Analyze the root causes of delays and promote corrective actions.
  • Provide the Sales team with reliable and regularly updated delivery dates.
  • Prepare reports and KPIs related to backlog, OTIF (On Time In Full), lead time, and service level.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for production planning and order management processes.
  • Participate in regular operational meetings to review performance and monitor key metrics.ì

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Management Engineering, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Candidates with a technical diploma and significant relevant experience will also be considered.

Experience:

  • 3–8 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Production Planning
    • Supply Chain Coordination
    • Order Fulfillment
    • Advanced Industrial Customer Service
    • Material Planning
  • Previous experience in manufacturing companies, preferably within:
    • Medical Devices
    • Automotive
    • Precision Engineering
    • Aerospace
    • Industrial Manufacturing

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and logistics processes.
  • Experience managing customer order portfolios and order backlog.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Ability to analyze operational data and KPIs.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with production planning and material management processes.

Soft Skills

  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Pragmatic, results-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work under pressure and effectively manage competing priorities.

Compensation
Salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience (Annual Gross Salary: €30.000–€40.000).

Work Location

Merate (LC), Full Time Monday-Friday.
