Verticale - GKS RK

Product range: 8 femural sizes, 10 tibial sizes

The GKS PRIME FLEX RK system by permedica has been specifically designed for the treatment of knee prosthesis revision cases. The modularity and intercompatibility of the components allows for different implant configurations, offering the surgeon the possibility of choosing the most appropriate solution for the complexity of the case to be addressed.

Femore RK

RK Femur

Made of Cobalt-Chrome alloy, available in MICROLOY® and VITAL-B® finishing surface versions. It has an open-bottom intercondylar BOX with a boss for connecting Intramedullary Stems and Offset Module. Particular attention was paid to the design of the posterior stabilization mechanism, in order to allow a « soft » contact and reduce the stress between the post of the articular insert and the cam of the femoral component.

Offset Module

Usable on both the femoral and tibial components to allow for offset positioning with respect to the diaphyseal axis. Available with 3 or 5mm offset.

Dettaglio Wedges RK

Femoral Wedges

To be fixed to the femoral condyles by means of special screws to compensate for bone defects. Available for the distal condyles (4, 8 and 12mm) and posterior condyles (5 and 10mm) for the various femur sizes.

Joint Insert

Manufactured with Ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) also available in VITAL-E version (polyethylene added with antioxidant Vitamin E).
PS (Posterior-Stabilized) version and SS (Super-Stabilized) version, featuring a larger post to limit the varus-valgus tilting and axial rotation, thus improving the stability when inserted into the femoral intercondylar box.
It is designed to allow a wide Femur/Tibia pairing guaranteeing for each femoral size the coupling with 6 tibial sizes. Each size of insert fit with 2 sizes of Tibial Plate and is available in 9 thicknesses Colour coding for correct coupling of the liner with Femoral and Tibial components.

RK Tibia

The RK tibial component is made of titanium alloy and characterized by a symmetrical baseplate with a keel consisting of a cylindrical boss with two stabilizing fins to which the Intramedullary Stems and the eventual Offset Module are connected.
The lower face of the plate has 4 holes for the assembly of Tibial Wedges (FULL and HALF) that allow for compensation of eventual bone defects. The joint insert snaps into place by engaging in the niches present in the rear part of the plate.

Tibial Wedges

To be fixed to the Tibial baseplate using special screws to compensate for bone defects. Available in FULL and HALF
versions with thicknesses of 5, 10 and 15mm.

Diaphyseal Stems

Usable on both the femoral and tibial components.
Available in different lengths and diameters in cemented and cementless pressfit versions.

TRASER Revision Cones

Femoral and Tibial Cones are UNIVERSAL devices to be used in knee prosthesis revision surgeries in the presence of severe bone defects in order to provide reinforcement/support to the bone structure thus allowing the positioning of cemented prosthetic components inside them.
