3D printed Patient Specific tools<\/h4><\/div>

Developed together with surgeons of great clinical experience, the DYO 3D Printed Patient Specific instruments system<\/strong> by Permedica Orthopaedics offers the possibility to create custom made guides for total knee arthroplasty.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>

This system of patient-specific guides,<\/strong> i.e. specifically designed for the anatomy of the individual patient, allows the surgeon to faithfull reproduce the pre-operative planning<\/strong> with an accurate positioning of the prosthetic components<\/strong>, as well as a series of further potential advantages.<\/p>\n<\/div>

    WORKFLOW<\/h4><\/div>

    1. CT SCAN
    \nThe patient undergoes a computerized axial tomography<\/strong> (CT) scan.<\/p>\n

    2. IMAGES ARE LOADED ON THE WEBSITE
    \nThe surgeon uploads CT images<\/strong> to the Permedica online portal.<\/p>\n

    3. EVALUATION OF IMAGE QUALITY
    \nThe images are analyzed<\/strong> to assess their compatibility with quality standards.<\/p>\n

    4. 3D RECONSTRUCTION
    \nStarting from the images, the 3D models of the tibia and femur are constructed<\/strong> and a first pre-operative planning proposal<\/strong> for the surgeon is made. The surgeon has the option to change the planning from the online platform at any time.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    5. PLANNING VALIDATION AND GUIDES PRODUCTION
    \nOnce satisfied with the 3D planning, the surgeon validates the planning.<\/strong>
    \nAt this point the production of the guides<\/strong> (femoral and tibial) can begin.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    6. GUIDES DELIVERY
    \nAs soon as they are ready, the guides are packaged,<\/strong> sterilized and sent to the hospital<\/strong> ready for use.<\/p>\n<\/div>
